San Francisco Cabaret Opera: Goat Hall Productions / San Francisco Cabaret Opera is a community of musicians, composers and writers dedicated to and passionate about new operas and original musical theater that reflect and define the world around us in all its diversity while shining a light on the human spirit. Our mission is to: • Support the creation and performance of new operas and musical theater • Collaborate with composers and librettists in the presentation of their work • Provide opportunities for trained opera singers to learn and perform roles • Introduce our diverse audiences to opera and the unamplified voice • Perform in intimate settings with affordable prices • Program works in English that are text driven, story driven and character driven • Program works that illuminate humanistic values • Program music that is multi-dimensional, multi-faceted, melodic and accessible • Present all works in ways that are thought-provoking and life-changing
